• Located near the Chic-Chocs Mountains, the Gaspé Coast is an exceptional playground to train adventure guides;

• The program offers both a winter and a summer co-op work term of three months;

• Opportunities for international work experience;

• The professors are part of the adventure tourism workforce;

• The training will allow you to obtain recognized industrial certifications;

• The program meets the standards set by the Canadian Council for Human Resources in Tourism and the Québec Adventure and Ecotourism Association;

• Unique in Canada : the program is offered in both French and English with the possibility of immersion in either language.

• An additional fee of $333.33 per semester will be charged to cover the cost of certifications and outings planned as part of the program;

• University programs: Bachelor’s degree in Leisure, Culture and Tourism; Outdoor and Adventure Tourism; any other university program requiring a DEC (examples include, geography, physical education, teaching, history, etc.)

When you take part in the Student-for-a-day option, you can experience what a student's life is like at the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles for a whole day. You will have the opportunity to learn more about our staff, the programs we offer and the exceptional quality of the learning experience at our institution. You can enjoy a guided tour, participate in discussions with teachers and other students, and meet with people like guidance counsellors, program coordinators, etc. who can help you make the right choices and complete your studies successfully
