The residenceIf you are looking for the ideal living situation while you study at college, the Residence at the Cégep de la Gaspésie is what you need. Not only is it right next to the college, it is joined to the school by an indoor walkway. The Residence is situated right in town, near the banks, drugstores, supermarket, cinema, arena, corner stores and shopping centres. It is next to the Sports Complex on campus where you have access to a pool and sauna, weight room, gyms and organised intramural sports in the evenings. If you enjoy outdoor sports, the Residence is about a 30-minute drive from Percé and Forillon National Park for cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking and winter camping in an enchanting, world-class environment. If you prefer snowboarding and downhill skiing, Mont Bechervaise Ski Centre is 10 minutes from the door of the residence powder snow at affordable student rates. The residence is available for students enrolled full-time at the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles or enrolled in an adult education or in a professional program. Description of the ResidenceThe Residence can accommodate 285 students at very reasonable rates, in an agreeable environment that lends itself to making new friends. You can live in an Apartment (205 rooms) with three or four other students or live in a Pavilion (80 rooms). THE APARTMENTS : Situated on two or three floors, the apartments contain four or five single furnished bedrooms, a complete kitchen (stove, refrigerator, table, chairs, cupboards) and a bathroom with shower. Apartment life gives you the opportunity to share the routines of daily living with other students, friends or new acquaintances, but more importantly, to develop and strengthen friendships. THE PAVILION : Each Pavilion contains 20 to 30 furnished single bedrooms. The rooms are situated on two or three floors and each floor has access to two communal bathrooms with showers, a large kitchen (equipped with two stoves, two refrigerators, a micro-wave oven, tables, chairs and kitchen cupboards) and a common living room. Each room contains : a bed and mattress, a closet, a desk and chair, lamps, a wastepaper basket, curtains, bedding on request.

You must send Residence Application Fee sign and return to us with a cheque for 10$, which covers administrative costs and is non-refundable. Returning students do not have to pay this fee. Staff : Nanci Paquette News
