Filling out this form does not guarantee that your child will have a place at the early childhood
centre, since places will be assigned on the basis of eligibility conditions that will be set out in an
in-house governance document. Priority will be given to Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles Gaspé
campus students and staff. However, if some places have not been filled once this process is
completed, the people in charge at the CPE will assign the remaining places based on applications
received from the general public. We will respond to all applications a few weeks prior to the date
of the centre%u2019s opening, set to take place sometime between September 2009 and March 2010.
Of the 29 places available at this CPE, 5 will be reserved for infants and the remaining 24 for
children between 18 months and 5 years of age. Of all these places, 2 will be reserved for
children from disadvantaged environments, 1 for a child from an immigrant family and 2 for
children with special needs.
